TXKeyboard UI design
My take on UI design for TXKeyboard. The whole concept is ‘retro’ 8-bit pixel art with modern touch on different elements (layout, menu bar, social media icons, etc.). Scroll down to see my other experiment on this project ✨

on 8-bit pixel art
It’d sound so stereotyping but my thought process went like this: keyboard > geek > gamer > game: so from here, you already had 1000 concepts to choose from; but 8-bit pixel art hits me hard with its retro and geeky vibe that speaks ‘mechanical keyboard’ concept.
Out of all the icons, support icon was the toughest. I went from candle light to the star. Eventually, I asked my husband ‘in a game, what icon would you think of ‘info hub’ or support icon?’. I remembered he was playing Runescape and he showed me the tiny shield icon, ‘this one’ 😉
I went from candle light to the star. The star isn’t even even.
I changed a few details (from left to right) to match it with my new UI design.

TXKeyboard projects have shown the maturity of my skills and professions over time. Below is my very first experiment with UI design and the concept of 8-bit pixel art years ago.

I was really excited with my first proposal / experiment as I think it really stands out from other competitors in mechanical keyboard industry.
